Hello, I used to be one of those guilty of sticking hid capsules into a stock housing. I did like the light output and color but hated how it blinded the **** out of others.

I recently purchased some aftermarket cefiro headlights for the sole purpose of doing a retrofit. They are e46 bi-xenon projectors with an ebay shroud. I painted the headlight reflectors with Rust-Oleum specialty High Heat paint to avoid glare. I also made a custom harness to power these bad boys.

Here are the pictures. These were takes with a phone camera I know that it could be better but beats blinding everyone. I thought that they would be ugly but I kinda like them. I painted the reflector black to reduce glare but that wasn't needed as light barely hit them.

Here are some shots in action.

Low beam shots

High beam shots

nice job but something is wrong with your beam pattern. here's my e46's (before aiming). are your projectors upside down or not aimed yet?

Not aimed yet. The passenger was higher than the driver.

$300 but payed $250 after ebay coupon for the hid kit. Yeah, I probably got ripped.$150 for the new Cefiro aftermarket headlights.Approximately $50 - $75 for harness parts glue, bolts, paint, shrouds, zip ties, wire looms, wires and all other items.

I worked as I received the parts but I'd say a total of 10+ hours total. About 4.5 in one light and 1.5 in the next and the rest making the harness.

With my experience, I can easily complete the whole thing 2-3 hours minus the harness. Stripping, cutting, soldering, and heat-shrinking takes lots of time.
