1999 Infiniti I30

I've searched "darlington" and read those posts. However, my blower does not work at high (or any other speed). The control head display and controls seem to work correctly.

1. Does blower amp module (darlington) failure cause blower to not function at any speed? I have a Maxima Haynes manual and the circuit diagram does not show a high speed bypass relay as mentioned in some of the posts on this forum.

2. Has anyone opened up the module and replaced the darlington transistor? That part is probably only a couple of bucks from Radio Shack.

Thanks

Welcome to NICO!

I recently replaced the whole thing in my 94 Q45. It cost me about $75 for the part and replaced it myself. It does seem a little strange that you have no controls whatsoever. Is it possible that the relay is out???

From the wiring diagram on the 99 Maxima (which for all practical purposes is the same as the 99 I30) there is no high speed blower relay.

So, if the module is out it appears there would be no ground to the blower motor and hence it would not work at all.

Maybe it is the buton underneth the switch( the thing that is attached to the circut board) is dirty you may just need to take the switch off and clean it with an eraser or a q-tip with alcohol.
