would a GM 3.4L V6 fit in a 99 altima? i have some doubts, but the engine wouldn't cost me a buck, and i'd have 180hp and 210 lb-ft torque... If it doesn't, what could i put that would give me a little boost w/o costing me too much (3'000$+). Thanks for any reply.

A GM motor in an Altima. Thats a new one on me. Don't know much about GM engines but I'm sure if will require a fair share of fabrication. Look into an SR swap.

LBC, would you mind reducing your signature image to a 200px high size? Should be a max of 600x200. Nice looking rims btw

I also like the way the garbage cans are reflecting in the paint!

Whatever you do, do NOT put a GM J motor into a Nissan. Do you know how many problems those engines have? Valve cover gaskets, lower intake gaskets, water pumps, upper plenum gaskets, oil burners, um...yeah I've worked on too many to remember ALL the problems. Bottom line: they suck. GM does not know how to make V6 engines...the 2.8/3.1, 3.4 and 3.4 DOHC, 3.8 and 4.3 ALL HAVE MAJOR MECHANICAL ISSUES. They have made some of our old GM techs very wealthy...
