Accidently posted this in 1st gen. Anyways i went to get an alignment done and the place i went to told me i was missing a lateral link in the rear of the vehicle and they could not do the alignment. I looked up under the rear and both sides look the same and i did not see anything that may be missing i have been looking for a diagram to see where it is and if i can do the work myself but only find diagrams only for shocks and absorbers and no lateral links are in any diagram i have seen and i dont have a service book for the vehicle yet. Wanted to see if anyone has a diagram of it or can talk me through where it is and if it has to be done in a garage thanks in advance.

im not sure what was meant by ' lateral link ' , nissan calls everything by a different name than any one else does (ie "lower transverse link" is commonly called a "control arm"). but heres a link to the fsm u would need, sorry i cant be of more help. oops i cant post links yet! well search for nicoclub/service-manual?fsm=Altima/1999/ra or sumthing similiar you will find free repair manuals for you vehicle
