does anyone know if there was an alternator recall on the 1999 maxima'scause i think mines fixing to go out its starting to make a funky noise when i turn the acc on and turn the stereo on

i doubt there's alternator recalls unless they cause a fire just turn your stereo down, turn off the ac and roll the windows down or get a new one - not that expensive.

just popped into my head - get it tested!

gettin it tested this morning, not that expensive ... $170the one in my moms stang is only $80

$170 yeah, that is expensive...didn't think it would be that much. how about a junkyard?

i do not think it is my alternator....driving it yesterday everything worked fine until i hit the interstate and hit a bump and my leds i have under my dash flickered, like i have jarred something loose. i think this happened on my way back from kentucky kingdom, 65 south through there is jacked. any ideas now
