99.5 Nissan Pathfinder Crank no start

I have a 99.5 Pathfinder It cut out on my mother while she was driving home from work, It cranks but doesn't start and I have both gas and spark getting to the combustion chamber and it didn't jump the timing belt as both camshafts still spin and function as you would expect. Please help I love the car more than any sane person should and I don't want to see it die, It's been a part of my life since we bought it new when I was 5, it's driven me to elementary school, middle school, 3 different High schools, and 2 colleges and then covered another 299,000 miles before refusing to start. It is every bit as much a member of the family as I am. Please help.

Check under the distributor cap for excessive dust or dirt buildup, blow it out with compressed air if necessary. Also check the rotor for excessive scorch marks.
