There's no way it can be done-completely impossible. Sorry.
Want to sell me those headlights?
Just kidding, I'm having the reverse problem you're having, trying to install 97 headlights into a 99 Touring. Everything about the wirting is different, headlight plug, high beam circuit, headlight motor adjustment, even the parking light/turnsignal connector is different.
The HID headlights have an adjuster inside the car which is complicating the wiring.
Now seriously here, I bought a wrecked 99 Touring and am fixing on the cheap which included using 97 headlights. Well, long story short, I gave up on converting the headlights over and bit the bullet and bought a set of used HID's from a junkyard (not touring though ) because the task/wiring seemed too much, and I'm not a fool when it comes to cars. Now since you're converting from standard to HID you may be a little more invested.
You'll have to get a wiring diagram and get a very good understanding of the headlight wiring because its not just "ground", "12+ low beam" and "12+ high." In addition, you'll have to consider a way of integrating the headlight adjuster into your car-or just bypass it-assuming that that the headlights will work without that plugged in. It's really a job.
On a side note, I bought a set of HID conversions and they work great.
BTW, how much did you pay for those HID's?
