98 Sentra cooling unit lower cover ?

Hello - my Sentra is leaking water into the passenger floorboard and it is coming from the A/C drain. I can reach up there and can feel the water coming out of the drain tube - but the drain tube appears to be broken - it does not reach to the firewall. I just bought this car a month ago or so - so lucky me !

My question - can I remove the lower cover by itself to see what the drain looks like (how it is broken, etc) ?
If the drain is broken somehow, can I find the lower cover somewhere and just replace it ?
