i just put my daughter's 98 sentra 1.6, back together after replacing all the timing components. i also changed out all hoses and belts. i have checked and checked again. but, i'm not getting any fire to the plugs. it has been a few years since i've worked on a car. any help on where to start checking?

Welcome to NICO!

I assume you can hear the fuel pump whine and the lights turn on, so the battery is working?

What components did you replace? Was the issue present before you replaced them?

thanks for trying to help. i replaced the timing chains, sprockets and guides. i also had the head pressure checked. i disconnected the fuel return line and had fuel there. pulled out a plug and put it in plug boot. no fire at all while turning over engine did not have this problem before i took it all apart. already checked to see if i left anything unplugged. i'm just a shade tree kinda guy, not really good at trouble shooting. thanks again.

Seems like you'd have to have plugged something in wrong, but that would probably be too easy.

Distributor, battery, wiring goof are all I can think of. I'm sure someone will drop in with another idea.
