Today i got a call from my girl telling me the truck was stalling when idling. She said it was fine while moving but stalled when parked. While waiting to get off work I get another call saying that the battery seems dead. She was just getting clicking from the starter when she tried to start it. I get off work and drive to her and it starts right up and idles fine. I have driven ~60 miles with no issue. What could have happened. I checked for loose wires and connections but did not see anything. Anyone ever experienced anything like this? :werd:

Because you had it stall out and then immediately had a starting problem, I'm going to hazard a guess that your alternator is dying/dead. If it's not generating enough juice while driving to sustain the electrical load the load would be transferred to the battery which will run out pretty quickly. Why it started fine for you is a bit puzzling.

Regardless, I would have the battery and alternator checked. If they test fine, check the voltage while it's running. It's supposed to be between 13.8 and 14.2 volts.
