Hi :

When I start the qx4; the outside temperature display lights up(every single segment) and then its completely blank... any ideas on how to solve the issue? Checked fuses and all are in good working condition.

Thanks for any help. :)

Welcome to NICO.

What happens if you hold the "MODE" button?

Just to verify: fuse #9 in the diagram on foldout page 3 is not blown, correct?

could it be that your mode button is worn out? Try tapping it a few times maybe? Just a thought that came about while fixing something entirely unrelated. I thought my radio was shot, turns out I have a fouled power button lol. It's the simple things that get you lol. Good luck!

At the front of the vehicle on the radiator core support, there should be a temperature sensor clipped to it. Ensure it is plugged in and the wires are undamaged. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll take a photo.

Thank you guys for the prompt replies. I tried playing with the button but it doesn't do anything whatsoever. I also replaced the 10A fuse on position #9 (although the older one showed being good) and still nothing.... Any other idea on how to troubleshoot it?

I found a sensor attached to the vertical bar between the radiator and the grille. The cables seems to be fine.

I have a video of the display while the qx4 is on and pictures of the fuse box with the new fuse and the picture of the sensor ...Do you know how to post them here?

Thanks again

Thank you TownCivilian and ClintSmith. I don't know how but all of the sudden the display started working. Have a great weekend.
