Hi:

About a month ago I had a rough idle on the qx4 and the SES light came on. The code was the MAF sensor. I replaced it and it work fine for a few days. after that 4 codes came on; 1 showing the TPS(replaced it but no improvement)> At that point I researched the forum and replaced the distributor based on my findings...

Today it started to idle rough, the rpms won't pass 2500. The new codes I'm having are:

P1320, P0325 Bank 1, P0120 Sensor A, P0340 Sensor A... all codes are confirmed and pending except for P0340 which is in pending status only.

Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting this?
Thanks in Advance

I tested the ignition coil with a spark plug tester end I have sparks in there; I also tested every single spark plug wire all of them with sparks also... That leaves out the distributor cap, rotor and ignition coil

I couldn't find any carbon Tracks on the Spark Plug and in the inside of the spark plug wires.
No Broken spark plugs either.
I don't see any oil residue from the valve cover gaskets dripping into the spark plugs or wires either.

... I'm really lost now... Any ideas on other tests procedures for this problem?

Thanks

This could get you started:
Your service manual...http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/QX4/
Trouble code page...http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/QX4/1998_QX4/ec.pdf

Here's the P1320 code...http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/QX4/1998_QX4/ec.pdf
etc.etc.etc.

Hope this helps.

Updates from last posting.
I was driving the SUV and it broke down only 1.5 miles from home. I towed it back since it wouldn't start again...
Found that the electrical harness (that goes to the distributor) was bad. The lock pin that connects the distributor to the electrical wire was broken. I found a used one in a junk yard and replace it. That got her running again. RPMS are steady and no misfiring ; but 3 codes are still on. After 3 days the SUV keeps running smooth except for when you come to a complete stop, it just lose RPMs and stops. I can restart it right away and runs smooth until another complete stop....

The codes now are P0120, P0340 & P1320. I will troubleshoot them as per the service manual and post more updates.

The stalling at idle might be The EGR or the IACV.... I will try cleaning them both first.

Removed the plenum in order to change the IACV and when I was ready to put everything back together, a small cube of metal(part of a broken bit) fell into the intake... any ideas on how to remove it? I fished it with a magnet through the intake holes but couldn't pick it up. I will be receiving a flexible Endoscope camera tomorrow... My idea is not to remove the cylinder head; but if it is imperative I guess I will have to do it.
