98 Qx4 Maintenance ?? ASAP?

Okay have a few questions I have a 98 Infiniti Qx4 130,198 miles and looking to get some stuff done tomorrow so info ASAP would be great.

I change my oil every 3k I know that is often but just works for me.

Timing belt/water pump/ hoses 24,000 ago

So last time I had full tune up and Diff’s and Transmission service was about 34,000 ago.

I have had no problems in this time till recent.

Sometimes when I start my car the RPM’s jump from 1,000 to like 2,500 real fast back and forth between 1,000 and 2,500 for like 5 sec? So not sure what the deal is there.

Have cleaned the MAF and always have clean air filter so?

Also curious if it is time to do the Transmission and Diff’s, and if the Trans. on the 98’ has a filter? And what would be the best Trans fluid to run in there?

And last should I have a FULL tune up or? What?

Any other maintenance ideas or things I should have done let me know thanks

BECAUSE SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PERSON WITH THE ANSWER TO COME ALONG.

Hopefully you find the humor in that. Now on to business. If you had your diff and trans serviced 34,000 miles ago, I doubt you need it again. I can check my owner's manual later today and find the maintenance interval.

The jumping RPM's is something I know I have seen here before, but I don't know the answer. Someone else will have to take that one.
