'98 QX4 distributor?

Do you guys know about inherent problems with these distributors?The shop says a couple of sensors are throwing error codes and the entire unit may need to be replaced.TIA for your input!

These are pretty trouble free cars, I've never personally heard of any distributor issues.

It's somewhat of a wear item, but that's for any car out there.
