98 QX4 Climate control off on start up.

Since I picked the truck up from the shop, the climate control will be off every time the vehicle is started. This was never the case in the past, the system would always remember the setting when the vehicle was shut off. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I also noticed that it completely forgets what fan speed and temp it is set to. Also, the door chime stopped working completely. I have to wonder what they did to this truck.

Give this a try. I don't know if it will work but it's in your service manual.

Self diagnostic brought it back to normal. Thank you for that link. Now to figure out why the door chime stopped.

came back to normal for a short amount of time. back to forgetting its settings.
