OK here's where we are now. New fuel filter, cleaned the MAFS with spray cleaner (sprayed to s#@t out of it, pun intended), drained and refilled the transmission. Originally after "HospitalBuilder" suggested a new filter and MAF cleaning it was running 90% better (test drive of 1.5 miles only). Now after the transmission fluid and re-cleaning the MAF again, its worse than ever! The local parts guy suggested a new fuel pump ($140). Is there a way a DIYer can test the pump pressure? There also seems to be allot of condensation coming from the rear exhaust, puddling enough the run down the driveway.

Any thoughts on where to go from here?

ThanksGuy

PS I changed the plugs/wires/cap/rotor about 7,500 miles ago.

What is this so called spray cleaner you used? If you dont use electrical cleaner or maf cleaner you will destroy a maf sensor. Is it throwing any codes. It could be a bad maf of fuel issue. You can make a fuel pressure gauge reallly cheap for nissan. I would check your fuel pressure while it is messing up.

Thanks for the reply. I did use CRC's Mass Air Flow sensor Cleaner.

Do you have a link to or directions on how "You can make a fuel pressure gauge really cheap for Nissan." ?

Thanks againGuy

I dont remember if nissans use the same hose size but that is the basics to it. Make sure you get enough hose to run inside the car or enought to jam the gauge under a wiper blade.

P.S. my money is on the mass air flow sensor since you cleaned it once and it was better then you cleaned it again and now it is worse.
