I am new to the forum and this is my first Quest minivan. I just bought this for my wife thinking vcg should be simple ....after all, I've changed them on my BMW and on a couple Chevys. It appears that accessing the rear valve cover involves removing the intake manifold which looks to be quite a "busy" area to say the least. Im hoping someone here can point me in the direction of a good diy write up or video. I did a google search yielding minimal results. I already bought the vcg and intake manifold gasket kits so Im ready to go. I have a few days before I go back to work ao Id like to jump on it today if possible. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks !

If it's anything like my '94, it's going to be a royal pain in the butt. I knew mine was leaking and didn't bother with it until I had another reason to take the engine out. If it's not leaking bad, I'd almost vote to leave it alone if you can stand it. You pretty much have to take the whole intake system off to get to it.

Yes the whole intake has to come out....thats plain to see. I was just hoping to see a video or a written diy so I'd know what all has to come off, in what order and the easiest way to do it. Miine is leaking bad. However, any oil leak thats leaking onto exhaust manifold should never be left alone. There is a risk of fire not to mention the oil is leaking onto other components causing damage and corrosion . Leaving it be will only lead to more problems. Im not trying to sound like a d!ck... I appreciate your input.... I really do. Infact you're the only one to reply so far. I just wanted to add my 2cents for anyone else that may view this post in the future and consider to just "leave it".

since you already know it's an involved job, here's a link to the FSM

i guess you can follow the steps to the cylinder head removal up to the "rocker covers"
