Hey everybody! I just got a 98 quest from my grandparents and I had the bright idea to stick a head unit in it. I have been messing with it and struggling since black friday. I was recently told by some "pros" at a shop that i need to find the factory amp somewhere in the van. It would be easiest to wire it from there instead of ordering a number of adapters and playing the guessing game. Can anybody help clear this problem up for me? I need some tunes in my van!! Ask me anything, I'll be checking back often!

thanks!

are you sure you have the "premium audio system" option?

do you also know that the ground is through the case, so with an aftermarket system, route the ground wire directly to a body ground...

as for the location of these amplifier units:

click on location of electrical units, scroll down to EL-253 & they should be behind the inner cargo liners... if not, you have a base unit & grounding that one wire to body should help power up your unit (unless you screwed up with the wiring)
