98 Q45t Problem

I went to start my car today and all of the lights were dim, and it wouldnt start. I thought it was probably a dead battery so I proceeded to jumpstart the car. When I hooked up the jump wires, it obviously got power and looked good but when i went to start it, it wouldnt start and just made some clicking noise like it was trying too. I at first thought it was probably a bad alternator then, but after reading some posts on here im thinking the problem might be a bit deeper, any ideas?

If you can get the car started, id take it down to autozone and they can tell you what the deal is..... Has the battery ever been replaced?

If you hear a click, then the battery is completely dead. Replace it. Jumping it won't do anything.

I agree. when batteries get old the can bust a cell and then nothing will bring them back.....

You need on avarage 100-150 Amps to energize and turn the strater. With a battery that has a shorted cell it is imposiible to acheive it even if you add a power of a good jump starter!Get a new battery and forget about it!Cheers!
