Have had my 98 Q45 w/82K for 1 year and love it. I need the brakes done, but have no experience pricing out Infiniti work. The dealer is quoting me $327 for front, $304 for rear including turning the rotors. Also suggesting $129 brake system flush. Question: are these prices out of line? should I go to a reputable local brake shop instead? Thanks for any feedback.

Those prices are rediculous. 129 to flush the system? Find a local mechanic, and get Brembo OE rotors. You should be able to get it all done for under 500, save at least 200.

We've got some guys in CT, maybe one of them can point you to a dealer they use and trust. CT's not that big, so it would definitely be worth the drive. Maybe, even a 2 man DIY job?? I'm sure it's nice down by the water this year, maybe offer a few cold beers and some burgers on the grill .

Thanks very much for the quick response, going down to grab my car back from the dealer.

There's always Keith Vanmeter in Mantua, NJ. Nothing but good reports from all who have used him.
