98 Pathy Pulley Noise

I've got a constant squeek from one of my pulleys or my belt tensioner. It increases with engine speed if that helps your diagnosis. I have heard several other pathfinders with the same noise, so I am guessing this is a common issue. Is the idler pulley or tensioner notorious for this or is it likely something else. Thanks for the help!

I know this is really late, but I just saw it now- as I am having the same probem...almost. There is a little tick that gets faster with rpms. Its like a tick/squeek. I replaced the idler pulley (on the alternator side) and that did not fix it. Although, the sound IS coming from that area. Despite having no resolution, my car sounds much much healthier, and quieter. So I'm glad I changed it anyway.
