What is that black plastic piece that sits between the bottom left/right parts of the water pump and the engine? I only have one of them.
See attached.

As far as I can tell, it looks like a seal between the oil pump housing and the water pump. There should be two of them. This doesn't look like a critical part. Perhaps a rubber hose of the same diameter or just a bead of RTV silicone sealant would serve well enough as a substitute. I found it available on e-bay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/374101338787 The Nissan part I think it is has been discontinued so you haven't too many choices. I found it in a section on Nissan Parts Deal for the front cover of the engine but that has no obvious reference as to what it is for so I'm really not sure if this is the right part, I'm guessing. https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts-l ... tting.html At NPD there is no indication of this part in the water pump or the oil pump sections but that seal is shown in diagrams of the water pump and oil pump in the service manual. https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 8%2Flc.pdf

That was exactly what I needed, mdmellott. Thank you.
The diagram labels them as seals but the they’re also labeled as grommets so I found a nail of appropriate diameter, cut it down to length, and covered it in RTV to seal on all sides and I’m crossing my fingers that it works. We’ll see.
Thanks again.
