I recently ran out of gas due to a bad sending unit stopped the gauge at 1/4 tank. Had trouble restarting after I filled it back up so I primed it a couple times after it sat overnight and it started up after flooring the pedal. Drove fine for a week no problems.

Ran out of gas a second time (sending unit REALLY acting weird, can't be trusted at any level). Same deal, restarted but without flooring pedal next morning.

Now it stalls out after engine idles to operating temperature.

Could fuel pump be failing? Wouldn't it not start at all if pump had burned up? I will be pulling CEL tomorrow.

Mine died going down the street one day - pulled a p0340, same as yours. If I let it cool off for 30 minutes, the engine would start right up, then run for another 10 minutes before it died again.

Replaced the camshaft position sensor and it was all good. So see if that works for you.

Is the camshaft sensor inside the distributor? Now it's stumbling real bad after only a minute, after sitting all night.

Yes, you can find a picture on ebay. Also goes by "crank angle sensor" apparently.
Looks like they sell quite a few.
