98 Pathfinder key Fob Not Working

Hi, I have a 98 Pathfinder that came with a key fob and has never worked since i bought it and the reason why was because one of the button connectors attached to the circuit was broke. I finally got around to ordering an aftermarket. I followed the instructions to the letter. I got the flashes from the instrument panel then turned the key to acc and pushed a button. Nothing happened. The company I bought the remote from is called RemotesRemotes.com and they say they send a fresh battery with every remote they send out. Is there anything else that can be the problem? I would really like it to work. Any ideas what to do next?

Well hey, I took the new key fob apart and moved the battery around a little bit and pushed one of the buttons and Surprise! it worked.
