98 Pathfinder E-brake light staying on

Hello,

I have a 98 Pathfinder and over the last two weeks the e brake light has started randomly staying on.

Any suggestions on what I need to check to make this stop?

add some dot3 brake fluid. You may be low.

The light on the dash isn't only for the e-brake, it's also a warning lamp. The fluid level could be low. It could also be an electrical problem with the switch on the e-brake that controls it, but I'd begin by checking brake fluid level.

That did it. I was barely above the min line but filled it up to the max line and it went off.

Excellent news!!I had a vehicle that had the latter problem, but I never fixed it.
