Wonderful story. . . My wife calls me saying she just got some gas and got on the highway and and the car felt like she didn't put enough gas in . . .so she stopped again and to be sure it wasn't bad gas or something she got a treatment and dumped it in too.. .

She went to go start the car and it dies right off. .. I get there and try to start it. . .yea it dies out unless i keep my foot on the gas. As the RPMs rise they aren't steady at all they're jumping between 2-4,3-5,5-7, as it rides around the meter. The car stayed on this way long enough for me to back it up and drive it forward about 2 blocks. I started out going slow only 10 miles an hour. When i switched gears the cars almost dieing out if i dont keep the gas in. . Finally about a block down the road 1/4 mle or so going about 20 miles an hour.....it drops to 10 then 5 then nada. .. . hasn't come back since. I've since replaced the battery, distributor cap, the rotor, the fuel pump and filter and am unsure where to go next. Any ideas? I dont have a code reader so I have no idea about that but there's no check light on currently

Check your MAF and see if it's clogged.

It ended up being the ignition coil and camshaft position sensor
