98 maxima rear door windows full roll down

does any body now if its possible to make the rear door windows roll down completely on a four door 98 maxima ?

Nope.

The cutout for the wheel arch is in the way.

do they make it that way b/c its convenient or so kids dont jump out on the freeway? i have always wondered...

My Lexus ES300 has rear windows that roll 90% of the way down. They go down straight, and then rotate forward slightly to avoid the arch in the door from the wheel wells. Wish my Infiniti did that.

Neither, although I've heard the child safety explanation numerous times. It's a compromise between window width and the amount they'll roll down. The wider the window is, the more it encroaches on the wheel cutout, but the further back (which is toward the passenger and therefore desirable) it goes, the more useful it is.That's why most cars with wheel cutouts in the rear doors have large sections of fixed window behind the moving part on the rear doors.
