Hello, I don't know much about cars so I feel lucky to have found this site.

I have a 98' Maxima that has quite a few issues.

1st - the airbag light is flashing and I have no idea how to make it stop. I hope that even though it's flashing it will still work in case of an accident.

2nd - I have a leak. Water has been collecting in the passenger back seat floor board. I've had a few friends look at it and no one can seem to find the problem. I suspect it might be a sunroof issue. I got really paranoid about mold so I took out the carpet in that area. It's a horrible site to behold. My poor car...

3rd - I need to replace the spark plugs and don't want to pay hundreds of dollars to do it. Is this something a car savvy friend can do? I hear it's going to take quite a bit of work to get to the spark plugs.

If anyone has any good advice on any of these issues I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

You have a 4th generation Nissan Maxima

I reset my airbag using the directions on this website. Go to theTech pages tab at the top, then to Nissan Technical and look for the articles there. I used both of them.

You can see the shop manual at http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM and workto your car. I would also advise to buy Chiltons and research all work beforeperforming it so you have fewer surprises. You can save moneyif you prepare correctly.

the water on your floorboard could be the sunroof, but most likely it's the evaporator housing drain tube(section 3-12 of a haynes manual) that got pulled into the cars cabin or it's clogged and overflowing.

plugs are easy...u could do at least the front 3 yourself, if you've got a few tools...just use your skills

WELCOME TO NICO!
