no, no black smoke on the exhaust tip or bumper, nor coming out of it..like i said no check engine...i thought it may be a bad o2 sensor or something.dreams knight wrote:do you see any black smoke ?
if you see a black smok from the mufler that mean you have to replace your
MAF sensor .
that is what happend to me . I replaced it and then I got evry thing back to normal
thanks, i'll try this outloystock wrote:Failure of the O2 sensor or other emission components will trigger a DTC code and turn on the CEL (except Knock Sensor). A dirty MAF sensor will result in an erratic mass flow signal to the ECM which may lead to rich fuel mixture. Try cleaning the MAF sensor using no-residue Contact Cleaner (do not use carb or brake cleaner). The MAF sensor is installed in the air inlet duct besides the filter box. Disconnect the MAF connector and spray contact cleaner on the connector contacts. You don't need to pull out the MAF sensor separately. Just remove the section of the air inlet duct where the MAF sensor is mounted and you can spray contact cleaner into the sensing element (never touch it). Spray a liberal amount of cleaner until the element is clean. On re-assembly. apply dielectric grease on the connectors
