I had a '98 for almost ten years, and it was one of my favorite cars I've ever owned.
For my car, it turned out to be a couple of bad coil packs and the IAC (idle air control) unit. After swapping the coils packs out and giving the IAC a good deep-cleaning, the car ran like almost-new. If the IAC is worn out, read: not functioning, it will need to be replaced, and that can be somewhat costly, unfortunately.
A good tune-up does the '98s wonders, too, but don't get too fancy w/ the spark plugs; a decent platinum plug will work fine (I used Denso Platinum TTs).
To be honest, though, you'll want to get the things done that are throwing codes in your car. The onboard computers in these cars are actually pretty good at "self diagnosis;" you'll just want to gradually work your way through the list you posted starting w/ the least costly and working your way up. Personally, I would start w/ the o2 sensors.
Best of luck!
