98 kouki intake. What does it sound like?

I've got a completely stock 98 kouki. I'm looking at starting off putting on either an AEM or Injen SRI system, then a brm exahaust.

Let's say I start with the Intake. Will my car sound any different with just the SRI system? I know once I get the exhaust on it will.

Then......what are they going to sound like together?

If i were you tho, id put that money into the suspension/brakes. The dollar per horsepower for an intake and exhaust an a N/A KA is not worth it IMHO.

There's a lot of difference between putting $130 in an intake system, than a suspension/brake upgrade. $130 on that would be nothing. I'm not looking for bunches of more HP. I want my engine to be able to breath better, and be just a LITTLE crunchier.

Would putting on an injen or aem short ram make my car a lot louder?

just throw a k&n drop in filter, it'll do the same thing for 1/3 the price

generally intakes dont make to much noise.... i have a AEM CAI on my eclipse and it just makes a VOOSH noise when i mash on it. Secondly, by the time you get to the exhaust part of the car its going to drown out the intake. Hope this helps!

K&N filter and cut out thebottom of the airbox. Cheap, effective, and will make engine a little louder

imo, the difference between a stock box and an intake isnt even noticable if you have an exhaust... the exhaust is the noisemaker
