I have a 98 inifiniti I 30 with CA emmissions. The diagnostic code said I need a new air temperature sensor. When I went to the dealer, the microfiche referenced it being on top of the air filter. I have no connection there whatsoever.

Does anyone know where it might be?

Thanks in advance,JT:help

where the intake tube connects to the lower portion of the air filter box follow it away fronm the box to a bend in the plastic tubing . In that bend should be your intake temp sensor and a 2 wire connector.

the parts diag are drawn by a five year old I think...lol I have the same problem when I try to order parts. Oe of nissans short comings. the parts name can be different in all 3 primary areas of nissan. I will use the rotating wire set up for air bags in the steering coloum. the service manual calls it a clockspring, parts fishe calls it a spiral cable and the warrenty manual calls it a squib wire. try to figure that out when working on these things..lol
