My girlfriend's 98 I30 has almost 100k miles on it. Lately it has been accelerating poorly and on occasion while slowing down stalled. It stalls also at low RPM when parked. This is very intermitent and not consistent.
She just had the IAC valve replaced, fuel filter, transmission fluid, drive belts, air filter, etc. The problem excisted before this was done.
My thoughts - get the codes and see what they say. I think it could be a cracked intake tube so the mass airflow meter is reading improperly or a bad mass airflow sensor itself.
PS: She lives in Atltanta, so I haven't been able to see the car first hand, but I hear about it every day.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
