My centre brake light is out.. I have the replacement bulb, but when I try to flip over the housing the wire doesnt have very much give.. is this normal? I don't know exactly how much pressure I'll need to loosen the bulb in there so it would be an advantage to be able to see what i'm doing instead of just feeling around under there.
Also.. on my rear passenger windows, the bar on the outside between the rear quarter glass and the window itself is showing a bit of rust.. how would I find the part number to get a replacement?

Is this for a light that is on the rear package shelve? If so, you may try looking in the truck on the underside of the package shelve to see if there is some sort of wire tie-down you can remove to get a little more slack.
As for window trim, I'd stop by or call your local Infiniti dealer to get a part # and pricing.

About the brake light like scott said id look in the trunk and see whats going on... there isnt going to be a ton of give but it should be enough to replace the bulbs...

How did you remove the high mount brake light? I have a 97 I30 and cannot remove this. The manual says it should slide back and up, but this doesn't budge. Don't want to put too much pressure on it and brake it. Another person said to pry the cover off at the seam. This doesn't seem to work either. The only screws I see from the trunk are two bottoms of the screws which look like they are screwed in from the top of the trunk lid.
