98 I-30. P0400 code with 185K files.

Hi.

i got this i30 back in 98 as new one and now it has 185k miles. this morning SES came on and when i hooked up OBD2 reader, I got P0400 code + below "codes" under MIL:

Misfire
Fuel
Comp
Catalyst
Evap
02 Sensor
02 Htr
Egr

Believe misfire, fuel, egr are old ones. i don't remember seeing catalyst, comp (what is this?), evap, o2 sensor, o2 ht before.

i replaced knock sensor on this with aftermarket one a while ago. could bad fuel cap be cause for EGR? it had tune up last year where i got new NGK spark plugs. car has been and still is running ok.

so what could be root cause here.

Thanks for your reply. i'll look at FSM.

I replaced all coils few years ago..maybe when it was at 140k. so i doubt if its a coil misfire. plus i remember i had different code for misfire.

i'll get the egr tube cleaned up and see if that clears this. been driving the car and i don't see any change other than the light being on. i was driving at maybe 50 and slammed my brakes y'day and this light came on immediately. let me clear CEL and see if it shows up again.
