Sorry but not sure what your post is asking? Your replaced the bulbs with HID's? Your post is isn't very clear...my 97's fogs haven't burned out yet so I have yet to explore, so exactly what did you get in there?

I have H3 HID's on my 98 Q. I think they look great on the car. Here's a pic of fog lights only. I have HIDs for the headlights also.

10K Bulbs. I wanted this color so bad. It's not too blue and it's not too white.

i have deep blue 12000kd2r but i wanna find a h3 to match the same color. I might just have to order all 4 new bulbs from the same place to get the same color

Yeah that's what I did. Ordered all 4 from the same company so that they would match.

However, for the headlights, there are HID bulbs that have 2 bulbs on them, one is normal HID for low beams and the other is for high beam. I am not sure if the person who installed mine did not wire mine correctly, but my high beams don't work and I paid a little extra to have the high beam bulb on there too.

So do a little research on that. I would like to know as well.

oh can you post a pic of your foglights?

If you got a little mo' then go to the local car "fix up" shop and they can hook you up with the set and installation. If you are cheap like me lol buy two sets from ebay much cheaper, but you still have to pay to get it wired up since it requires relays to operate.

Both of those pictures just prove why converting halogen fog lamps to HID dont work.....just look at all the GLARE created by the conversion, exactly OPPOSITE of what you need out of a "fog lamp"

Pretty, and pretty ineffective.

Horrible!!! If you understood the idea behind why a correctly designed foglamp has a sharp vertical beam cutoff, you would immediatly realize why your mod makes no sense whatsoever....Dont confuse the pretty looking colors with effective performance.

right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they might go beyond a vertical point a little bit but down here in htown we get fog in the morning and they sure do a great job lighting up the road compared to halogen H3's

All that non-directed light output does create glare and will affect oncoming traffic. If you notice the lens on the fog lamps are fluted for a reason. To spread the light out as much as possible. When you double the lumens and focal points from the halogen housing you will create glare, hot spots, and turn a usable beam pattern into a big blob of light.

Also all that foreground lighting is only going trick your eyes into looking at close range and really is useless as far as depth goes.

Didnt want to say anything because i know how much people swear by their plug and play kits, but there really isnt much to brag about a cheap kit anyone can, just well, plug and play.

The problem with your lights dimming with the bass is because your amp is pulling a lot of current. You should probably upgrade your battery, alternator, and invest in a capacitor. The reason they dont dim is because the ballast only needs 35W to power the bulbs and once powered it only uses a fraction of that to keep the bulbs running. Rather than the 55W halogens which obviously draw more current than an HID setup.

The whole purpose of a correctly designed foglamp is to eliminate any stray light shining above the height of the mounted lamp in an effort to prevent the light from reflecting off the fog, hindering your vision.....you want ALL the light to shine as low as possible to prevent those reflections.

As an example of the above, turn your highbeams on while foggy out, and see how much worse your visibility is due to the fog reflecting the light.

If you are serious about really improving your vision by upgrading your cars lighting system, spend some time reading the following website, owned by one of the formost automotive lighting gurus in the world- http://www.danielsternlighting.com, If you are only interested in your car looking cool, dont bother.

Yea a capacitor would be a last resort. So you just went and added a high power amp and sub and not even bother upgrading anything. I bet you didnt even bother upgrading the first basic things like the "big 3." Thats why your headlamps among other electronics are dimming when your amp draws all that voltage. NOT because of your bulbs.

And I do have a few mods, BUT mods that are functional not just because it looks cool or trendy. There's nothing custom about wiring a ballast and replacing a fitted bulb.

I'm not trying to knock your mod but HID kit swaps are just tacky. In halogen housings its even worse. If you really want something functional do some research and do a retrofit.

hahaha do you think im stupid??????? i have a mechman large case alt, big 3 ran with 1/0 wire. 1/0 wire connecting both bats together, 1000amp interstate bat for a starter bat, kinetik hc800 for are rear bat. i might do away with the interstate bat and go with a kinetik hc1400 for a front bat. im only pushin 1200 watts rms which is that much but its 1200watts rms at 1 ohm. If really wanna know the details i can even tell you how many ac volts im pushin the subs at at 50hrz. and yes i hit high 130's dB in comp too that aint bad for 1200watts rms

you played me for a fool. you barked up the wrong tree buddy

forgot to mentionoh snap i have a 98 qt oh yeah another mod i have 01 headlights. about to bag another car..oooooo oh yeah you yalls problem with rear camber?? i didnt go out and buy no piece upper control arm i just cut mine in to 2, spaced them apart and welding back together. but not with now mig weder either. since the arms a forged steel you have to pre heat and TIG weld them back together. oh my god i did a mod if you wanna see my old mod just ask i had a hardbody complete modded out nothing was stock. didn't even have the right bumber on it. it had a 4runner bumper on it. Tryiin to load pics now

I could care less on your setup or numbers your pushing or the output of your amazing bass machine. If you have so much time and research invested you would of already overcame your dimming headlamps issues. I have build plenty systems pushing around 1100W RMS and never had a dimming issue. All that said was to your comment saying "actually your wrong. And also they don't dim when the bass hits like regular halogen lights do." WTF does that have to do with anything. Thats all on your system wiring, nothing to do with HID.

Anyways buddy you wanted opinions... Your mods are whack, well at least this one is. whats the point of having 01 OEM HID Headlamps if your gonna be putting 12K bulbs? Again HID is bright yes, but 12k Is dim as hell when compared to OEM. You wont even have the in-cabin leveling option. Same with your HID fogs... Bright as hell, light has no direction, no pattern just a bunch of light shooting out the car.

Im not trying to come off rude or anyting but I see this kinda ish on Civics, 240s, Eclipses... you know regular tacky riced out cars. just my .02
