98 ac condenser fan question

Hi everyone!

i try the search option for an answer but couldn't find any, so here is my question.

on an 98 q45, does the condenser fans suppose to work as soon as you turn on the AC? i just found out that the fans is not working today when i turned the AC on.
is that normal and the fans only turn on at a certain pressure or temperature? Thanks in advance.

Yes that is correct.. The fan only comes on when the pressure in the system gets to a certain level.. So usually if you turn the AC on when you turn the car on, nothing will happen right away and then a few minutes later the fan will kick on...
