i am buying a 98 240sx originally manual, from a freind, the thing is that the engine is blown so i wanted to exhange it the wirring harness and the transmission are both good, i was wondering if i bought an AT ka24de engine from a junk yard would it work with the original wiring harness and the transmission and if not what modifications would be needed?

Not a problem at all.

I'd recommend getting the auto ECU just in case, but you should be fine - the engines are identical.

you may have to tweak something (eletrical stuffm maybe bypass sensors) because that engine might be obd1 and what you have right now is obd2
