98 240 alarm removal

Hello.I have a 98 240sx SE with keyless entry n alarm. I am trying to remove the A/C bezel and radio trim but i can't because the red light has 2 wires behind it that are extremely short with very little to no slack at all. Therefore i cant install my stereo nor paint my a/c bezel nor radio trim. Anyone know how I can remove this as less painfully as possible? I appreciate the help...Thanks.

pop out that lil led & cut the wire. Then extend the wire, and you are set.

I guess i could give that a try. i was thinking somethin similar but, i have no choice to cut it. Thanks man!

just in case your wondering cutting the two wires to extend the led wont do anything. and that blank panel its in might pop out by itself without taking the whole bezel off.

I was able to get mine out far enough to unhook the harness, but mine is a '95. I think it's the same though.
