My 99 is back on the road and has the dreaded stumble/idle miss that has been linked to a bad coil. There is no MIL/check engine light and no stored trouble codes. So.........

How can I find the failing coil? Easily? Any tricks?

There's been a ton of responses about this problem but no one has been able to answer this question.

Stumbles always generated a particular cylinder misfire code for me.

Sorry I can't help.

You should be able to test resistance.. Just give that a try, you might try checking all of them hot and cold since that could have some relevence to the problem.

I usually just kick the rear driver's tire 2 or 3 times a month to keep the stumbling at bay.

Works for me!
