hello everyone, I have a 97 b14 sentra 5 sp. Im having a problem where sometimes the car will stall as if its not getting fuel. This happened before and I found that the fuel pump was bad, I pulled the connectors off and found that the battery voltage was getting to the connector but the pump wouldnt turn on, so I replaced the fuel pump. Car started right up and has been fine for a couple days. Now what happens is sometimes, while driving or idling it will stutter and sound like the pump has shut off. doesnt do it all the time just randomly. sometimes it will start again after 3 cranks sometimes not for another 20mins. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I need this thing for work and am now taking the bus as I dont trust the car since I dont know if itll leave me stranded. any help is appreciated.

alright, sometimes when i turn the key to the "on" position i can hear the pump work, when i do then itll start and run for about 5 mins before dieing again. when i dont hear it work when i turn the key to on, then it wont start. even when it works itll die as your driving no matter if you give it gas or not. Would I be correct in suspecting a failing relay or switch? I have tried reading the electrical diagrams but I cant make sense of them, I have replaced a relay but I guess i did the wrong one. anyone know where the fuel pump relay is? or switches that transfer power from the battery to the pump? thanks in advance

Yikes that sucks man... have you blown any fuel pump fuses? If not, the only thing I can think of would be a sticky relay or switch. Check the area around the relay for corrosion.
