A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Pretty simple question, I have a 97 sentra GA16. I took the pan off to do some work and I ordered an oil pan gasket. I got a felpro gasket, an actual pan gasket. When I removed the pan it was attached using liquid gasket sealant, it didn't have an actual gasket. I just wanted to know if I put the felpro actual gasket on, will it develop leaks? would it be best to put a layer of sealant in between the pan and gasket during installation? I just want to not have to take it off again in the future. Thanks for any advice!

I would put the sealant since it was on at first. You always want to put things back how they were,

Sealant will suffice by itself. The gasket is not necessary.
