97 Sentra Engine Replacement

Greetings...I am finishing an engine replacement in a 97 Sentra 1.6L Manual Transmission. Ran into a question. On the transaxle there are four front gusset to engine bolts. Bolt number 2 (front lower bolt) (http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Sentra/1997_Sentra/mt.pdf - page 9 - GA Engine) which is 85mm in length runs all the way through the block facing.....seems as if something may have attached at that point such as a bracket also. I don't recall anything there however there apparently was. Anyone have any ideas as to what may have attached there?

I don't see anything that is held in place by that bolt. Wondering why I have such a long bolt for the job at hand?
