'97 SE Pathfinder- ECU location

I'm trying to help a friend out with his CEL light but cannot locate the ECU. It's not behind the PS footwell like on my Q45. I've searched but none of the posts I've reviewed talk about the ECU location.

Also, are the codes read the same as my Q by turning the ECU screw CW then CCW and reading long and short flashes?

its a lot harder to read the codes on an OBDII car like that than it is on the Q with OBDI

Id suggest just taking it to autozone.
