i redcently installed a reman. auto trans in my 97 qx4,after 320 miles,it doesnt want to upshift into 2nd untill i get to approx.3-4000 rpm and let off the throttlethen it shifts. could a shift solonoid be hung up?

any suggestions would help

sounds more like a throttle position sensor issue to me. Take it to autozone and have them scan your codes.
