I recently bought a Strut Mount kit from Oreilly's Auto. There is a spacer in the box that I don't know where it exactly goes? I looked at the FSM and didn't find the spacer anywhere in the diagram. Doe's anyone know what it is for?

I believe that's the Strut Mount Bearing in the picture. In page SU-8 in the FSM it has the exploded diagram of the front suspension and the part #4 is labeled 'Strut Mount Bearing'.
I'm going to try to post a pic of my left strut taken apart.

I initially assumed that spacer next to the bearing was the top nut securing the strut to the mount, my bad. I have completely disassembled both strut assemblies on my QX4 and there is no spacer, so 'itsnotme' is correct, no spacer needed.

You don't need that spacer. It also had me puzzled when I was getting my struts changed. My guess is that these kits can be used on several different makes and models, and maybe some of those models require the spacer.
