97 QX4 service engine light on -- even after local garage 90K service???

97 QX4 service engine light on -- even after local garage 90K service???

The shop said it was a code for evaporator ??? and my gas cap was not on tight on first re-visit.

He also said yellow "service engine" was the same as "check engine"

Correct?? (--I told him NOT so I'm on a limb here)

Any ideas?

Is this guy worth pursuing? He already charged me $466 for a 90-K check-up...
