'97 QX4 Power Antenna Assembly Removal

Just need some clarification. I need to pull the power antenna assembly from my wifes '97 QX4 so that I can replace the mast. The line drive is broken thus the need to remove the assembly.

I believe all I need to do is remove the passenger side fron tire and then the wheel well plastic guard in order to get reach the assembly. Am I correct?

Yes that is correct. There are two or three different pieces in the fender well. The one that runs along the front is the one that needs to be removed. once that is down it is easily accessable.

how easy is it to remove those liner pieces from the wheel well to get at the antenna?
do they unscrew or are there some kind of plastic snaps. Im reluctant to try to pry them off with a screw driver and break the fastners and then not be able to replace or have them vibrating from loose fit.
is there any instrstructions posted ?
