97 QX4 issue.

While getting off of the freeway, my car feels slow, almost as its pulling something. Then when the RPMs hit 1k, they shoot up to about 1500, then back down, then up again and will continue this multiple times. It doesn't do it when I accelerate, only while coasing.

The video I posted will give you a clearer description. It seems to be getting worse also. What should I do? Any advice? Does anyone know what it could be?

My first guess would be a faili g torque converter

Do you know how much that would run me in terms of cost?

Never seen that, but I don't think you should be driving in 4WD on a freeway.
