97 qx4 amp hookup help

Hey guys

I have a kenwood amp I'm trying to install, everything's ran and set up for the amp and the subs. My problem is getting the amp to turn on. I have a aftermarket headunit and I can't figure out where to put the remote wire. I spliced into the radio harness but it still won't turn on.

I was wondering where I should tap into next. I don't want to cut all the wires up. Can I install it into the Bose amp? Anyone have any idea of where to put this wire so it'll turn on?

I haven't seen any thread with this issue yet, I'm seeing an electrician tomorrow in hopes he can help. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

the remote wire coming from the aftermarket radio is usually always blue (if not just check the manual that came with the radio to make sure you are using the correct wire for remote turn on) then that wire should be connected all the way to the amp and should trigger the amp to come on. if that still doesn't work then make sure your power cable and fuse for the amp is in tact and make sure your ground is touching bare metal on the vehicle
